This guy. Is. Terrifying. Finn Balor is one of the most promising up-and-coming pro-wrestlers in NXT (WWE's developmental division) at the moment. Finn is a demon. He makes his entrance on all fours, accompanied by clouds of fog and the sort of music you'd hear in the dungeon of a video game. He has every bit of skin from his pectorals up covered in makeup to make himself look even more terrifying. The makeup design changes subtly from match to match, but the message it sends is the same: this guy is evil and scary so stay far, far away. 

 

Finn developed his gimmick from Irish Celtic folklore, naming himself after Balar, the mythological king of a group of beings called the Formorians. Balar is described as a giant monster with a huge eye in the middle of his forehead. On occasion, Finn has appeared with the eye of Balar depicted in astounding body art on his back.

 

Finn Balor is one of my favourite wrestlers. His technical ability, athleticism, and the sheer effort he puts into his gimmick is phenomenal. I always cheer for Finn, and refer to him affectionately as "Paint Man."
