While wrestling often uses religion, religion often uses wrestling. Many professional wrestlers have used the fame, influence, and the pedestal that their position in the ring gives them to evangelize for their own personal beliefs (Bonham 2001, 42, Mathewson 2014). This evangelism is not on behalf of the company, and is often very subtle. It just goes to show just how important religion is to all different kinds of people, even big-burly-scary-wrestling types.
