STARDUST

Stardust is interesting, to say the least. He's sometimes referred to as "The Prince of Darkness," a title many might immediately associate with...I dunno...Satan? Stardust is kind of odd. He hisses in people's faces, and does weird hops and jumps and flips to get around rather than just walking. His promos are pretty spooky, too. Stardust is an evil power we have never seen before and therefore cannot understand. People love Stardust, simply because he is so bizarre. Stardust strays from what is good, polite, proper, and mainstream and ventures into the territory of rebellion, a realm religion most often discourages people from entering.

Stardust's ring gear looks like black shrink-wrap covered in stars. Are they just stars? Or are they pentagrams, shapes that are essentially stars, but are symbolic of Satanism, alchemy, witchcraft, and all sorts of other things that are "evil" through the lens of mainstream religion. The way Stardust carries himself and interacts with people makes them super uncomfortable, the same way people react when they are confronted by religions or religious people they do not understand.

This interview with WWE commentator Michael Cole illustrates Stardust's character beautifully.
